Terms of use
Last updated July 23, 2026. These terms apply to everyone who uses TeachSupplyList, whether you are a parent looking up a list, a teacher publishing one, or another visitor using the site.
1. Accepting these terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of TeachSupplyList, including its school directory, teacher accounts, classroom pages, supply lists, printable materials, product links, content, tools, and related services collectively referred to as the “Service.”
TeachSupplyList is owned and operated by Unknown Consulting, LLC. References in these Terms to “TeachSupplyList,” “we,” “us,” or “our” refer to Unknown Consulting, LLC and the TeachSupplyList Service.
By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
We may revise these Terms as the Service changes. The date above identifies when these Terms were last updated. Your continued use of the Service after revised Terms become effective constitutes your acceptance of those revisions.
Visitors under 18 may use the Service only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian. Teacher and school-administrator accounts are intended for adults who are employed by, authorized by, or formally volunteering with a school.
2. Supply lists are informational
Supply lists may come from several sources, including standard grade-level recommendations maintained by us, lists published by school administrators, and lists published by individual teachers. When available, each list is labeled to help identify its source.
Supply lists displayed through the Service are provided for general informational and convenience purposes only. They are not a substitute for an official list, email, handout, classroom notice, or other communication provided directly by your school or teacher.
Teachers and schools may change requirements at any time, and pages on the Service may not immediately reflect those changes. Always compare a list against the most recent information provided directly by your school or teacher before purchasing supplies.
Unknown Consulting, LLC does not guarantee that any supply list is complete, accurate, current, official, or appropriate for a particular student, classroom, grade, course, or school. We are not responsible for products purchased that are later determined to be unnecessary, incorrect, prohibited, unavailable, or different from what the school requires.
3. No school affiliation or endorsement
Unless expressly stated otherwise, TeachSupplyList and Unknown Consulting, LLC are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to any school, school district, government agency, teacher, retailer, or educational institution listed through the Service.
The appearance of a school name, school district, classroom, teacher name, logo, address, or other identifying information does not by itself mean that the school or organization has approved, verified, or endorsed TeachSupplyList.
References to schools and educational organizations are provided to help visitors locate relevant information. All school names, trademarks, logos, and related materials remain the property of their respective owners.
4. School information
School names, addresses, telephone numbers, grade ranges, and related information may come from the National Center for Education Statistics Common Core of Data, school websites, publicly available records, user submissions, or other sources.
Public datasets and third-party records may be incomplete or outdated. Newly opened schools may be missing, closed schools may still appear, and school names, addresses, telephone numbers, grade ranges, or district assignments may have changed.
Private schools, charter schools, specialty programs, virtual schools, and recently established schools may not appear or may contain limited information.
If school information appears incorrect, please contact us. We may review and correct information, but we do not guarantee that every requested correction will be made or that public source data will be immediately updated.
5. Teacher and school accounts
Eligible teachers, school employees, administrators, and authorized volunteers may create an account and publish or manage a classroom supply list.
By creating an account or claiming a classroom, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to publish or manage information for the selected classroom, grade, teacher, or school.
Claiming a classroom you do not teach or manage, impersonating a teacher or school employee, or publishing a list on another person’s behalf without authorization is prohibited.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate and current account information.
- Keep your password and login credentials confidential.
- Notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
- Publish only supply requirements you are authorized to provide.
- Review and update your published lists when classroom requirements change.
- Do not include student names, addresses, contact information, photographs, identification numbers, or other personally identifying student information.
- Do not publish confidential school, employee, student, or family information.
- Do not use a supply list to advertise unrelated products, solicit unrelated donations, distribute spam, or link to content unrelated to the classroom.
Account and content enforcement
Unknown Consulting, LLC may unpublish a list, remove content, restrict features, reject a classroom claim, or suspend or terminate an account if we reasonably believe the information is inaccurate, misleading, unauthorized, abusive, unlawful, harmful, or published by someone who is not authorized to represent the classroom or school. When practical, we may contact the account holder before taking action, but we may act immediately when necessary to protect students, schools, users, or the Service.
6. Content you publish
“User Content” includes supply lists, classroom notes, teacher names, product descriptions, links, instructions, and any other information or material you submit through the Service.
You retain any ownership rights you have in your User Content.
By publishing or submitting User Content, you grant Unknown Consulting, LLC a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, modify for display, distribute, transmit, and display that content as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, secure, promote, and improve the Service.
This license includes permission to display User Content on classroom pages, school pages, search results, printable lists, downloadable materials, emails, shared links, and related TeachSupplyList features.
The license continues while the User Content is published and for a reasonable period afterward while backups, caches, search indexes, and technical records are cleared.
You represent that you have the right and authority to publish your User Content and that it does not violate another person’s privacy, intellectual-property, contractual, or other legal rights. You are solely responsible for the User Content submitted through your account.
7. Account deletion and content retention
You may request or initiate deletion of your teacher account through the account dashboard, when that functionality is available.
When an account is scheduled for deletion, its published lists may be immediately unpublished and removed from public-facing pages.
The account and associated lists may be retained for up to 30 days so deletion can be reversed if it was accidental or unauthorized. After that period, the account and its associated content may be permanently deleted and may not be recoverable.
Unknown Consulting, LLC may retain limited records when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, enforcement of these Terms, or maintenance of anonymous or aggregated statistics. Information may also remain temporarily in backups, caches, or third-party search indexes outside our immediate control.
8. Affiliate links, products, and pricing
As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
Product links on the Service may be affiliate links. This means Unknown Consulting, LLC may receive a commission when a visitor follows a link and completes a qualifying purchase. The commission generally does not increase the price paid by the visitor and helps support the operation of the Service.
The presence of an affiliate link does not guarantee that we endorse, recommend, certify, or warrant a particular product. A product may have been selected by us, a teacher, a school administrator, or another authorized list publisher.
Product names, images, descriptions, availability, ratings, shipping terms, and prices may come from teachers, administrators, retailers, affiliate networks, or other third parties.
Prices displayed through the Service are estimates and may change at any time. Displayed prices are not offers to sell and may not include taxes, delivery charges, fees, substitutions, or other costs. The price and terms displayed by the retailer at checkout control the transaction.
You are responsible for conducting your own independent due diligence before purchasing any product. Review the product description, quantity, dimensions, color, specifications, compatibility, return policy, and final price directly with the retailer before completing a purchase.
9. Third-party retailers and websites
Product and resource links may direct you to Amazon or other third-party retailers, service providers, school websites, government websites, or external resources.
Unknown Consulting, LLC does not own or control those third parties and is not responsible for their content, availability, accessibility, products, pricing, inventory, security, shipping, warranties, return policies, privacy practices, or customer service.
The inclusion of a third-party link does not necessarily create an endorsement, certification, partnership, agency relationship, or guarantee.
Once you leave TeachSupplyList, your interaction with the third party is governed by that third party’s own terms, policies, and practices. Any purchase, return, refund, dispute, or other transaction is between you and the applicable retailer or provider.
10. Acceptable use
You may not:
- Use the Service for an unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, or harmful purpose.
- Impersonate a teacher, administrator, school employee, volunteer, student, parent, or other person.
- Claim or modify a classroom or school list without authorization.
- Publish knowingly false, misleading, discriminatory, defamatory, or unauthorized information.

- Scrape, crawl, bulk-download, harvest, reproduce, or republish the school directory or supply lists without prior written permission.
- Use automated systems that place an unreasonable burden on the Service.
- Attempt to access accounts, data, administrative areas, servers, or features you are not authorized to use.
- Submit false registrations, spam forms, distribute malware, or interfere with the operation or security of the Service.
- Use Service content to build, populate, or operate a competing directory, database, or commercial service.
- Violate applicable federal, state, local, or international law.
11. Intellectual property
Except for User Content and third-party materials, the Service and its original design, branding, logos, text, graphics, software, source code, interfaces, organization, databases, and features are owned by or licensed to Unknown Consulting, LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may view and print a reasonable amount of Service content for personal, household, classroom, or internal school use.
You may not reproduce, republish, sell, license, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, scrape, or commercially exploit protected Service content without prior written authorization from Unknown Consulting, LLC or the applicable rights holder.
12. Copyright and content complaints
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, trademark, privacy, or other legal rights, please contact us and provide enough information to identify:
- The protected work, name, information, or material.
- The allegedly infringing or unauthorized content.

- Your name and contact information.
- The basis for your complaint or removal request.
13. Availability, modifications, and termination
Unknown Consulting, LLC operates the Service on a best-effort basis. The Service may be unavailable because of maintenance, security incidents, technical failures, hosting problems, changes to third-party services, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We may modify, add, restrict, remove, suspend, or discontinue any portion of the Service at any time, with or without notice.
We may suspend or terminate access to an account or feature if we reasonably believe a user has violated these Terms, created a security or legal risk, misrepresented their identity or authority, or used the Service in a harmful or unauthorized manner.
Unknown Consulting, LLC does not guarantee uninterrupted access, preservation of content, continued availability of a particular feature, or continued availability of a third-party product or link.
14. Disclaimer of warranties

- The amount you paid directly to Unknown Consulting, LLC for use of the Service during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or
- One hundred dollars ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not permit certain warranty exclusions or liability limitations. In those jurisdictions, these provisions apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.
16. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Unknown Consulting, LLC and its members, managers, employees, contractors, agents, affiliates, licensors, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from or related to:
